Answer to edition 392
The turquoise structure in the distorted image was the biggest clue. However, Where in the World (392) proved a quite a challenge. I have heard the country in which the city is located referred to as the “Land of Turquoise Domes”. Indeed there are a number of mosques whose domes are decorated with turquoise tiles. This tower like structure is also decorated in a similar manner but is not a mosque rather a mausoleum in the Iranian city of Qom.
Twofold congratulations
Congratulations to Jackie (@JackiesJourneys) who was the only reader to correctly identified this week’s distorted image as Qom in Iran.
A second dose of congratulations is also due to Jackie as her correct answer marks two years without a single missed or incorrect answer. That is quite an achievement on her part – 104 correct answers in a row. Three years beckons now.
Well done Jackie
This week's distorted image
This week’s distorted image has a rather ethereal look to it. I have flown into this city when it looks like this and it really is something special. There are a number of clues to its identity. Good luck.
