Where in the World (368)

Unlike the last time I posted an Asian city there is no writing to help identify the structure. The challenge was to identify the city by identifying the building or structure in the distorted photograph. If you recognised it as being a shrine of some sort you would be on the right track and with a little help from Google Images you might also discover that it is the Yasaka-Jinja Shrine in Kyoto.

Yasaka-Jinja Shrine Kyoto, Japan

Congratulations this week to Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Tim (@timofnewbury), and Atul (@pixodentist) who all identified the city as Kyoto.

Once again the distorted image features a prominent structure which, if you can I denitrify it, will go a long way to identifying the city. There is part of the skyline of the city visible too and this might help a little. This one should be a lot less challenging as there is a very obvious clue that will help in the identification process.
