Where in the World (360)

Connections? Though possible a little tenuous they would perhaps confirm (or not) the identity once you had figured it out. Both the city and Berlin from the previous week are in Germany. Secondly one of the rivers on which this week’s city stands is coincidently pictured in the featured image at the top of the post. It is in fact the River Mosel.

The main clues in the distorted image are the castle and the statue of the man on horseback. These are found at the confluence of the Rhine and the Mosel. The city where these two rivers meet is Koblenz.

Koblenz, Germany

Congratulations to Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) and Tim (@timofnewbury) who were the only readers this week to identify the city as Koblenz.

This week the distorted image is of one of several ancient ruins in a thoroughly modern city.
