Next week we will be celebrating the 350th edition of “Where in the World…”. That’s another milestone in this long-running quiz. Fourteen weeks later we will celebrate 7 years of this quiz. I began to wonder whether there is any other online quiz that has been running as long or longer. If anyone knows of a long-running travel quiz of any sort then please let us know in the comments below.
Next week, to mark the occasion there will be a small RFID travel wallet for money, tickets, passports and cards. All the usual rules will apply. I will give more details next week as well as listing the rules.
While we are on the subject of long-running I would like to highlight a few readers that have been around with “Where in the World…” for a long time. Looking back over the years and the #WITW posts I see that Tim (@timofnewbury) was among the first readers to take part. I think it was around the 8th or 9th edition; that’s at least 340 attempts to identify the city. Jackie (@JackiesJourneys) while not being with us at the beginning does have the longest unbroken run of correct answers – well over a year. Such is their success that if either of them gives an answer different to the one I have I always double check mine. Thank you, Tim and Jackie, for sticking with “Where in the World…” for so long and congratulations for your individual records.
Now onto the identity of this week’s city. There were three clues that could be used to identify the city: the flag, the architecture and the distorted pyramid. The flag is the French, the architecture is from around the Napoleonic era and the glass pyramid is the 20th century and stands in front of the Louvre. The city of Paris fits all three clues.

The distorted image this week is more challenging than last week. Next Wednesday I will be headed to a place near the city as I do every year.
