Where in the World (347)

Last week the distortion was unusual in that the original was an aerial photograph of a well-known city soon to have its annual Vivid Festival. This is a light festival when one of its most iconic sights is painted in lights. Careful examination of the distorted image will reveal a well-known bridge and opera house. The city is, of course, Sydney, Australia.

Sydney, Australia

Congratulations to all those who identified the city as Sydney. They are Todd (@toddunctious), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Atul (@pixodentist), Beverley (@bevsackville), Susan (@wordsallowed) and Tim (@timofnewbury).

As last week’s post was pre-scheduled there was one reader to add to the list, as promised, of those identifying the city correctly. That reader is a regular to these city quizzes Beverley (@bevsackville).

This week the distorted image is a little more challenging. Looming large, the X-shaped structure is probably the biggest clue to the identity of the city. Good luck.
