With the Maple Leaf flag flying prominently in the distorted image it was a safe bet that the city to be identified was in Canada. The photograph would also indicate that the city has a waterfront which narrows the search down a little. Two cities on opposite sides of Canada were the front runners. One was Victoria on Vancouver Island on Canada’s west coast and the other was Halifax, Nova Scotia on Canada’s east coast. Halifax, Nova Scotia is the correct answer.
This post was pre-scheduled so the list of those identifying the city correctly at the time of writing is as follows: Todd (@toddunctious), Jackie (@jackiesjourneys), Jon (@SparksJon) and Tim (@timofnewbury). Later correct answers will be acknowledged next week.
This week the distorted image is a little different from usual in that it is neither a iconic building or a skyline. It is an aerial photograph that has been distorted but the clues to the city’s identity are there if not as obvious as in the more usual views of the city.
