Where in the World (312)

This is the 312th edition of “Where in the World…” on the Travel Unpacked blog. While no one from the original few postings is still identifying cities, there are several who have followed it for most of the six years. Tim (@timofnewbury) is the longest remaining from those early days and he is fast approaching his sixth anniversary of identifying the distorted cities.

As usual, when we reach a milestone post there is a small prize to mark the occasion. This time it is a cable and accessories case. I have used one for just over a year and find it invaluable as I can keep all my data cables, charging cables and accessories tidy and in one place. Gone are the days of a tangled mess of wires when I unpack in some hotel room or apartment.

The prize

I have just finished reviewing it and you can read it sometime in the next 24 hours in my latest post. All the usual rules apply and you can find these at the foot of this page. All you have to do is identify correctly this week’s distorted city before the closing date to be entered into the draw.

Last week the city skyline was dominated by a golden building that once identified would identify the city. The gold building is the Golden Temple and can be found in Amritsar, India.

Congratulations to Atul (@pixodentist), Davide (@travelling_dave), Tim (@timofnewbury),  and Jackie (@JackiesJourneys) who all identified the city as Amritsar.

Amritsar, India

The distorted image for this week features a city skyline and an iconic building that has appeared on these pages before. Not quite so easily recognisable from the angle the original photograph was taken from but, nevertheless still identifiable.

As usual, you can leave your answers in the comments below or on my Twitter feed (@lethers) with the hashtag #WITW312. If you are on Twitter then you can Direct Message me with the answer which will be hidden from other readers. Alternatively, email me with the answer here.

Please use the hashtag #WITW312. It makes finding the answers in a continually changing Twitter feed so much easier; your answer is less likely to be overlooked.
