Where in the World (268)

Last week’s distorted photograph proved a little challenging for some despite the fact it is a popular city with visitors. This was due in part to the viewpoint not being one of those popular on postcards and in guidebooks. Most people could identify the city as being somewhere in Central Europe. Identifying the cathedral and fortress visible in the top left quadrant narrows the possibilities down to… one. The cathedral is dedicated to St Vitus and the fortress is Praha Castle; the city, of course, is Prague.

Prague

Congratulations to Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@JackiesJourneys), Beverley (@bevsackville) and Simon (@similtiades) who all identified the city correctly.

This week the distorted photograph is an iconic structure of the city to be identified. Not only is it distorted but it also appears in disguise. Nevertheless, there are some clues to help in identification of the structure and from that the city.
