This is the 200th edition of “Where in the World…” and we are closing in on the fourth anniversary of when the first one was posted. When I post Where in the World (208) it will be four years. There are readers who are still taking part who first started way back in 2012. To those readers I would like to say a big thank you and let you know your support is very much appreciated.
Last week there was a small, in size, clue which made the city easy to identify especially as all eyes are focused on the Olympic Games which are to be held in this city. The statue with the outstretched arms is Christ the Redeemer and it overlooks the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
Congratulations to Green Hotelier (@Green_Hotelier), Jackie (@JackiesJourneys), Tim (@timofnewbury), Davide (@travelling_dave), Atul (@pixodentist) and Simon (@similtiades) who all identified Rio de Janeiro correctly.
This week’s distorted photograph features an iconic landmark of the city to be identified. There are a couple of clues that should make identifying the building a little easier as it is not the usual angle from which we see the building.
