The real giveaway clue in last week’s twisted photograph should have been the Mercedes Benz symbol. However, it seems there are a number of buildings with the same symbol on top. I know the Europa Centre in Berlin has one but is a different style of building.
One of the regulars to these puzzles thought it might be the Mercedes building at Brooklands. Intrigued I did a little research and discovered that the building at Brooklands is very similar and was probably designed by the same architect. The clue though is that it has to be a city and Brooklands is a motorsport centre.
Remember sometime back there was a twisted photograph of BMW Welt. That city was Munich. Last week’s distorted photograph was another car manufacturing centre. This on was Mercedes’ home city of Stuttgart.
Congratulations this week to Atul (@pixodentist), Simon (@similtiades), and Tim (@timofnewbury) who all identified the city correctly. My thanks to all those who took part.
This week the distorted city will not be immediately obvious (Is it ever?). However, there are several clues combined with a little Google research that should make the city easy to identify.
