For the eagle-eyed the German flag flying on the back of one of the boats was a great clue. That same boat has, if you get out a magnifying glass, the name of the city along its hull. For some it was enough to recognise the distinctive skyline but for some it was the detail. I am amazed that Simon (@similtiades) recognised the Otto Stoben shop on the corner. The city is Lubeck in Germany.
The city was identified variously as Korneuberg in Austria and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. However congratulations to Davide (@travelling_dave), Atul (@pixodentist), Simon (@similtiades), Mel (@MelG_Hl) and Tim (@timofnewbury) who identified Lubeck correctly.
This week the distorted photograph is a skyline with a difference. Usually the photograph looks across water toward a city skyline. This week however, the photograph is taken looking away from the city. There is an iconic structure featured at the waters edge that gives a clue to the city to be identified. Good luck.
