Where in the World (175)

Two weeks ago the Sydney Opera House in a different light confused a number of people including some who have been identifying cities from these twisted photographs since they began.

Where in the World (174) was by comparison far more easy to identify. There was very little to confuse the brain except a blossoming cherry tree. The building is perhaps the most recognisable dwelling place on the planet. It is the residence of the President of the United States of America; the White House. The city therefore is Washington DC.

Nine readers correctly identified the city as Washington DC. Congratulations to  Davide (@travelling_dave), Simon (@similtiades), Jackie (@JackiesJourneys), Tim (@timofnewbury), Stefan (@stefanpaetow), Maricar (@maricarjagger), Katherine (@KatherineDougl2), Michelle (@MLWesterman) and Atul (@pixodentist)

To create the distorted images I use two different apps and choose the one with best result. This week I could not decide between them. Both look like space invader craft out of a ski-fi film. I have shown both of them below; not that it will make it any easier as they are from the same original photograph. Some scenes just produce much more artistic distorted photographs. One of my readers commented that the distorted image of the aforementioned Sydney Opera House would make a great brooch. Well here are two more designs to add to the collection.

The distorted images are of a building that is a major attraction in the city to be identified. I am sure that this week will be more of a challenge than last week but not impossible. Identifying the building will be the hardest part as there are several of similar appearance in cities around the world. Good luck.
