Where in the World (70)

There was not much to identify the the city in last week’s “Where in the World…”. The TV tower was the most prominent feature but as I pointed out there are a number of cities in the world that have similar TV towers as part of their skyline. Some of these have even featured on these posts. Visible on the skyline is a suspension bridge which should have helped in the identification process as there can only be a handful of cities where such a bridge and a TV tower are near enough to be in the same shot.

OK, so it was not an easy one to work out and there were several different guesses including Rotterdam and Vilnius. The city is the German city of Dusseldorf.

Only one person identified the city correctly. Congratulations to Tim (@timofnewbury), a regular winner, for recognising Dusseldorf.

This week’s city should be a little easier as the skyline is a little more distinctive. However it may not be as easy as you think; I did say easier not easy.

Can you identify the city in this week’s Where in the World…? You can leave your answer in the comments below or on my Twitter feed (@lethers) with the hashtag #WITW70. If we mutually follow each other on Twitter then you could send me a direct message with your answer, not forgetting the hashtag #WITW70. You can also leave your answer under the post referring to this on the Travel Unpacked Facebook page (please like the page while you are there). Good luck.
