There were some clear identifying features in last weeks “Where in the World…” distorted photograph. The “planet” clearly showed the horses and chariot sitting atop this iconic gateway. It is these that identify it as the Brandenburg Gate which in turn identifies the city as Berlin. The photograph in its undistorted format is published below.
Identifying the city was far less challenging this week with four people correctly identifying it as Berlin. The winners this week are Atul (@pixodentist), Richard (@RField75), Tim (@timofnewbury) and two newcomers to the winners Mark (@travelsportcopy) and somebody from Time Lapse Movie (@localizedmovie). Congratulations to you all and thank you for taking part.
This weeks distorted city for you to identify is pictured below. The photograph is of a well-known sight in the city but one not often pictured from this angle.
Can you identify the city? You can leave your answer below or on my Twitter feed (@lethers) with the hashtag #WITW42. If we mutually follow each other on Twitter then you could send me a direct message with your answer, not forgetting the hashtag #WITW42. You can also leave your answer under the post referring to this on the Travel Unpacked Facebook page (please like the page while you are there). Good luck.
Please note: I am currently in Australia’s Northern Territories and will be spending some time in the Outback where I will not always be able to connect to the Internet. I will endeavour to post at around 10:00pm [BST] on Wednesday as usual but this may not be possible. The post may be pre-scheduled in which case some last minute winners may not be mentioned. If this is the case I will mention them in the following weeks post. Likewise, if the post does not appear rest assured it is only a delay keep checking back or sign up to receive notifications by email. Thank you for your anticipated understanding.
