Where in the World (38)

Having just returned from Greece I decided that a Greek cityscape to twist into last week’s “planet” was probably appropriate. I chose a very recognisable site that is almost as iconic to the city in which it resides as the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. All those who entered this week’s “Where in the World…?” identified the building – it was the Pantheon on the Acropolis – and therefore the city of Athens.

Congratulations to OffshoreBella (@offshorebella), Atul (@pixodentist), Tim (@timofnewbury) and Richard (@RField75) for correctly identifying the city as Athens. It’s a great city to explore and I will be writing a post on it sometime in the not too distant future.

This week’s “planet” is best identified by one of its iconic buildings which features in the twisted photograph below. Identify the building and the rest is easy.

Can you identify the city this week? You can leave your answers in the comments below or on my Twitter stream (@lethers) with the hashtag #WITW38. Please don’t forget the hashtag as it makes your tweet and the answer easier to find. Good luck.
