The centre of the distorted photograph from last week could be any waterfront scene. Unless you have visited the harbour it would be difficult on its own to identify the location. However, the big clue to its whereabouts is the cloud covered mountain in the background. Despite being partly obscured by cloud it can be identified as Table Mountain (which is often covered by a tablecloth of cloud) and the city as Cape Town.
Congratulations to Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@JackiesJourneys), Atul (@pixodentist) and Davide (@travelling_dave) who all identified the city as Cape Town.
This week the distorted image depicts a city view with a well-known landmark. This landmark is a vital clue as to the identity of the city. The view is not one often seen in tourist brochures or guidebooks but the landmark often makes an appearance.
