The scene featured in the first distorted photograph from last week was the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Garden and Temple. Not an easy one to identify unless you have been there which is why a second distorted image was posted as an additional clue. The very distinctive tower known as Taipei 101 is easily identifiable which, as the name suggests, identifies the city as Taipei.
Only one person managed to identify the city by the first image alone. However, there were other correct answers from readers who used both photographs to identify the city. Congratulations to Tim (@timofnewbury), Jackie (@JackiesJourneys) and Davide (@travelling_dave).
This week the distorted image depicts a well-known city view despite the fact that in the distance it is partially obscured by cloud. Both foreground and background provide clues as to the identity of the city.
