The distorted city from last week was slightly less challenging than Helsinki the week before. Just as Finland’s capital, Helsinki has a musical connection with the composer Sibelius so last week’s city has musical connections with composers. Beethoven, Haydn and Brahms along with many others would have recognised the building in this photograph; Johann Strauss certainly would have. The building is the Schonbrunn Palace which is in Vienna.
Only two correct answers this week. Congratulations to Jackie (@jackiesjourneys) and Atul (@pixodentist) who correctly identified the city as Vienna.
This week’s “Where in the World…” is of a well-known view of an iconic landmark of the city to be identified. However it is not the most well-known view of the city, nor is it a view of the city’s most iconic landmark. As you can see there is a picture within a picture, which will provide a clue as to the identity of the building.
