The Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries) is probably the biggest clue to the identity of the city with the 25 de Abril bridge across the Targus confirming that the city is the Portuguese capital Lisbon.

Lisbon, Portugal

As I am heading home this week this will be the last of the pre-scheduled posts so next week there will be a full list of winners. Meanwhile congratulations all those who correctly identified the city.

The distorted view this week is one of two views the city is most famous for. Both appear often in gudebooks and postcards but usually this one takes second place to the more popular and more famous view.

As usual, you can leave your answers in the comments below or on my Twitter feed (@lethers) with the hashtag #WITW280.
