Where in the World (274)

Last week’s “Where in the World…” was more of a challenge than I expected. One reader had a lucky break in that a tweet in his feed featured the building in its undistorted form.

Several destinations were suggested ranging from somewhere in Russia to a city on the Silk Road. The building is the Ataturk Mausoleum which can be found in the Turkish city of Ankara.

For those wanting to know what to do and see in Ankara then Culture Trip have a compiled a handy list of the Top Ten Things to do and See in Ankara.

Ataturk Mausoleum, Ankara

Congratulations to Tim (@timofnewbury) and Jackie (@JackiesJourneys) for identifying the building and the city.

Considering the last few have been a challenge this week the distorted photograph is full of clues to the identity of the city and should be a whole lot easier to identify…. I hope.
