Some readers noticed the tiny flags flying above the towers on the castle and were able to identify the country as Poland. They are barely visible and I had not picked up on them when I posted the picture. Others had visited the city and recognised the castle itself.
Some people speculated it was one of the Baltic states, others the Balkans and some identified the country but mis-identified the city. It is a photograph of Wawal Royal Castle and can be found on the banks of the River Vistula in Krakow.

This week the distorted photograph has a very modernist look about it. However, don’t let that fool you. It is a very distinctive structure/building in the city where it is found. Identify the building and, with a little research, you should be able to identify the city.
