The statue in last week’s distorted photograph is of Nelson Mandela which makes it very likely that the city is somewhere in South Africa. The furled flag is also likely to be the nations rainbow coloured flag though it is not possible to say with certainty. A little research or some educated guessing along with the government buildings in the background should provide the final pieces of evidence to identify the city. The city is Pretoria, seat of the South African government.
Like last week this post is pre-scheduled as I am away and have only limited access to wifi. I will not be posting a list of readers who correctly identified the city until I return. Next week it is back to normal.
This week is an iconic view of a well known city. Mostly it is identifiable by the landscape around it rather than an iconic building.
