The mass of rock in the photograph from last week’s Where in the World…, despite being distorted, has a very distinctive shape. It features in almost every general shot of this city. Known as Sugar Loaf it towers over the Brazilian City of Rio de Janeiro
Congratulations to three of the regulars to this page who were the only ones to correctly identify the city as Rio. Well done Atul (@pixodentist), Tim (@timofnewbury), and Richard (@RField75).
Not all cities are modern and inhabited today. There are many so called “lost cities” of civilisations past. This week’s distorted photograph is of one such city. Obviously the number of possibilities is reduced as our world has a only a few cities of lost civilisations. Good luck in your research.
