Several readers identified the prominent tower in the distorted photograph from last week. It was originally built as a minaret hence the Arabic style of architecture and added to later on to form the bell tower of the city’s cathedral. The tower is known as La Giralda and is one of the prominent features of the skyline of Seville, Spain.
Congratulations to Tim (@timofnewbury), Davide (@travelling_dave), Richard (@RField75), Atul (@pixodentist) and Andrew (@SplashDSM) who all identified the city as Seville.
This week’s distorted photograph doesn’t look like it belongs in a city at all. It is, however, very much part of the city to be identified.
