Where in the World (147)

The twisted photograph was immediately “recognised” by many readers. The problem was some “recognised” it as the Palace of Versailles, Schonnbrunn Palace or the City of Bath. Only one can be correct and it is not Bath or the Palace of Versailles but the Schonnbrunn Palace. That means the city is Vienna.

Those who identified the city as Vienna are Tim (@timofnewbury), Davide (@travelling_dave) and Daph (@dapheparis). Congratulations to all of you and many thanks to those who took part.

This week’s skyline features a recognisable building which should help with identification. Secondary to the building is the style of the houses in the photo. However, as the photograph is distorted it may take a bit of optical gymnastics to recognise the style – it can’t be too easy or where’s the challenge.
