The tall building in the distorted photograph from Where in the World (118) was mis identified by several people as being in either Taipei or Chicago. There is a similarity, especially lit up, to tall buildings in either of these cities. However the skyscraper is the Empire State building as seen from Central Park. That identifies the city New York, the Big Apple. I am told it is a great place for shopping but I have an aversion to retail therapy so couldn’t possibly comment.
There were four people who correctly identified the city – one even pinpointing the location the photograph was taken from. Congratulations to Atul (@pixodentist), Tim (@timofnewbury), Andrew (@SplashDSM) and Katherine (@KatherineDougl2). Thank you to all those who took part.
This week we continue with the Christmas markets. The distorted photograph is of a city square in which there is a Christmas market in full swing. Can you identify the city?
