Where in the World (52)

This week marks the 52nd posting of “Where in the World…” twisted photographs. That’s a year of weekly postings. To mark the occasion Flylite are giving a cabin bag that adjusts to meet different airline restrictions as a prize. More details of this and the competition below .

Meanwhile last week’s “planet” pictured an iconic building that identified the city. However in its twisted format it was not so easy to identify. Answers ranged from the Royal Albert Hall (in London) to the Pantheon with some identifying the wrong building but identifying the city correctly. That counts, as the answer needed is the city not the building. Those who identified the building as the Colosseum found it easy to identify the city correctly as Rome. Here’s the picture in its undistorted format.

multibag2There were three winners this week. Atul (@pixodentist), Richard (@RField75) and someone (Annick, Maarten or Febe) from OurWorldHeritage (@our_w_heritage) in Belgium all correctly identified the city as Rome. Congratulations to all of you and thank you for taking part.

Now for this week’s prize and competition. Flylite, makers of lightweight cabin luggage have kindly donated one of their Multibag Foldaway Wheeled Cabin Holdalls as a prize for this weeks competition. Briefly, the bag changes dimensions through a series of zipped panels allowing you to adjust to each airlines specific restrictions on cabin baggage. Although it is wheeled it can be worn as a rucksack and it folds away neatly for storage when not in use.

I have used the bag myself and found it especially useful on journeys which involve different airlines. You can read my review full review here. The prize is valued at £65.

Here then is the city to identify. In the distorted photograph there is both an iconic structure and a cityscape so hopefully it will not present too much of a problem.Where 183

If you think you can identify the city then leave your answer in the form below. Please note: This is not the usual way of leaving answers. I have used a form this week as many of you want to keep your answers private. With the exception of the prizewinner your email will not be passed on or sold. You are not signing up to anything either but we may need to contact you for a delivery address should you win. Only the prizewinner’s email will be given to Flylite so that the bag can be shipped direct.

The prizewinner will be drawn randomly from all the correct entries received by the closing date of Wednesday 11th September 2013 at 10:00pm [British Summer Time – BST]. Flylite are willing to ship anywhere so the competition is open to those of you living outside the UK as well. Multiple entries will not be accepted. One entry per person, please.

If you like the bag but don’t wish to take part in the competition you can purchase via this link which will take you to Amazon.co.uk: Flylite Foldaway Multibag (£)

For all those who are fans of the “Where in the World…” twisted photograph puzzles they will continue. If you want to see this year’s twisted photographs then they are all posted on one board on Pinterest.
